About Me
Courtney Parham is a dynamic emerging leader, social media marketing consultant, and event planner in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the founder and event planner for Young Blacks of the Bay (YBB), a rapidly-growing social organization featured in The Oakland Tribune, The Contra Costa Times, and The Montclarion to name a few. Courtney is also the founder and Editor-In-Chief of Renascence, the Bay Area's black arts & lifestyle online magazine.
Raised in Oakland, CA, she graduated in December 2008 from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Her undergraduate accomplishments include: serving in numerous student leadership positions such as a Resident Advisor to freshmen students, completing three communications internships, spending a semester abroad in Hungary, and she was chosen to study leadership with the Dean's Leadership Seminar in Australia. Courtney is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology Honor Society, and she was selected to research an Honors Thesis about interpersonal communication amongst teenage girls.
When she's not working with social media or planning events, Courtney loves to spend time with family and explore the Bay Area with good friends.
